Stunning colours,yet dreich!

I have been answering emails and cards sent to me about the loss of pa.
It is very emotional. I feel as if I am reliving the whole thing.
I am having a restful day,hot bubble bath,siesta,reading in bed and a tasty lunch.
We are having dinner at Host tonight, with Anita ,Philip Patsy and Kev, which we are both looking forward to.We contine with celebrations for John's 80th birthday which I don't wan't to get lost.

 August 7th Back to work today. I saw three favourite clients. In-between I set the table for Andrew and Lucy's visit tonight, washed salad, made a sauce. I got the cake from Cafe Baroque. I met Andrew and Lucy  at The Handyman pub on Smithdown . I like it ,it has a nice atmosphere.  We had a wee catch up then came back for food wine and gifts...it was a lovely evening Andrew was happy with his gifts :) On Saturday I went to Grail in town to collect my bag, it is gorgeous they have made a great job of it ;it looks split new. John gave me that bag for my 50th birthday when I got back for Australia. he met me in London with it ,that night we went to see ART in a London theatre, cant remember which one. I remember we were in the Gods. It was a good play one of the actors from Cheers was in it...the one that always sits at the end of the bar.                                       ...

Epilogue ; Liverpool ; some last pictures randomly placed.

 On our last night Philip and Trs gave me lovely gifts from Tainan and Kaoushiung and I gave them some gifts too. I felt quite weepy most of my penultimate day; I spent most of the day packing and recovering from a 3.00 AM late night with lots of wine. On my last day we went for a lovely walk in the campus and had a coffee in my favourite little cafe. It was quite emotional being back at The Mountain House.  I finished my packing had a shower and got dressed in my travel clothes. We watched Philip's 50th birthday video of the pictures from the boat celebration and the Lightmans video. It was gorgeous to see it all again but of course tugged at my heartstrings. Philip showed how many things there are to watch on youtube; I had no idea. We watched videos of the places we had been on out travels. It was so good to see them all again. January 2026 Castlnel,Castalla ,Alicante

  I am here in Castlenel in January for the first time in many years. I was here for the Dia de Los Reyes a few years ago. That was because Philip was over from Taiwan for Christmas to introduce Teresa to his dad. Andrew, Lucy and I came over to celebrate with them. After Andrew, Lucy and Teresa left, Philip and I were here for the arrival of the three kings, it was a truly wonderful evening in the town square. John and I lived here in Castalla for about four years from about 2004 till 2008. I got used to the cold winters back then, since then I have mostly been here in the summer when the task was to keep the house and myself cool. This time it is quite the opposite, how to keep warm. I have come to terms with the reality that I have to close down some of the rooms, because it is just silly to heat them ( unsuccessfully) when they are not being used. When I am here in Summer I use all the rooms and love all the doors being opened I like to see them all as I wander about the lovely...
